If Shield finds a virus or other harmful file, it automatically quarantines it, isolating it so it can't harm your device. Most of the time, there's nothing else you need to do.
What this means
Shield scans your device in the background and during scheduled checks. When it finds something harmful, it automatically quarantines it, isolating it so it can't harm your device, and lets you know what happened in plain language, without needing you to make a decision in the moment.
Steps
- Open the Shield app or your dashboard's Activity feed to see what was found and when.
- Open Scan and click Manage Quarantine if you want to see what's been isolated.
- Run a full scan to double-check your device is clean.
What to expect
Your Activity feed shows the threat was found and quarantined automatically, with no action needed from you. A full scan afterward should come back with no threats found.
