What this means
Shield checks for updates automatically in the background. If an update hasn't gone through after several tries, usually because of a network or storage issue, Shield lets you know so it doesn't miss the newest threats.
Steps
- Open the Shield app and check the Status page for an update notice.
- Make sure your device has an internet connection and enough free storage space.
- Restart your device, which often lets a stuck update finish.
What to expect
Once the update finishes, this alert clears and your Status page shows you're fully protected again.
