Installing Shield on your Mac takes just a few minutes.
Before you start
- Make sure your computer meets the system requirements for Shield.
- Sign in to your Shield dashboard.
Steps
- Go to the Download page on the web console, and click Download for Mac.
- Open the downloaded file and double-click the Downloader icon. It automatically downloads and installs the rest of Shield for you.
- When macOS asks, click Open System Settings and turn on Full Disk Access for Shield so it can protect your Mac properly.
What to expect
Shield activates automatically as soon as it finishes installing. There's no sign-in step on the app itself, since your download was already set up for your account. You'll see a confirmation that your device is protected, and it now appears in your dashboard's device list.
