Which Shield plan is right for you?

Shield comes in three plans, built around how many devices you want to protect and whether you want a Guardian dashboard for your family. Here's how to pick the right one.

What each plan includes

All three plans include the same core protection: malware and phishing scanning, scam site blocking, and protection against unauthorized remote access. Family Lite and Family add tools for looking after your whole household.

Feature Individual Family Lite Family
Devices covered 2 5 10
Malware and phishing protection Yes Yes Yes
Scam site blocking Yes Yes Yes
Remote access protection Yes Yes Yes
Family Guardian Dashboard No Yes Yes
Guardian Alerts No Yes Yes
Remote Help for family members No Yes Yes

How to choose

Pick Individual if you only need to protect your own devices, up to two of them. There's no Guardian dashboard, since there's no family to watch over.

Pick Family Lite if you're protecting a smaller household, up to five devices, and you want a Guardian dashboard to see everyone's status, get alerted if someone needs help, and offer remote help when they do.

Pick Family if you have a bigger household, up to ten devices. It includes everything Family Lite does, just with more room to add family members and their devices.

Switching plans later

You're not locked into your first choice. If your household grows or your needs change, you can switch to a bigger or smaller plan anytime from your account.
