You can upgrade from Individual to Family Lite or Family anytime, and it takes effect right away.
Before you start
- You'll need to be signed in to your Shield dashboard.

Steps
- Go to Subscription in your dashboard.
- Under All plans, find Family Lite or Family and click Upgrade.
- You'll be taken to Stripe's secure billing portal. Confirm your new plan is selected and click Continue.
What to expect
Your new plan activates immediately, so you can start adding more devices and inviting family members right away. You're charged a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing period, and your renewal date stays the same.
Moving to a smaller plan later
You can't downgrade while your subscription is active. If you'd like a smaller plan, cancel your current subscription; once your current term ends, you're free to choose any plan. See How to cancel your subscription?.
