What is Family Support and how does it work?

Family Support lets you get help from a family member on your Shield plan, but only when you say yes, every time.

What this means

When you turn Family Support on, your chosen family member can look at your screen with you if you ever need help, like sorting out a scam or setting something up. Nobody gets in unless you tap Allow, every single time, and you can stop the session anytime by closing the window.

How it works

  1. Your Guardian clicks Remote Help from their Family Dashboard to start a session.
  2. A prompt appears on your screen. Nobody gets in unless you tap Allow, every single time.
  3. They help, you watch. You can see everything they do, and stop the session anytime by closing the window.

You're always in control

  • Nobody can connect without your permission, every single time.
  • You approve each session individually before it starts.
  • You see everything they do on your screen, the whole time.
  • You can turn Family Support off whenever you want.

Turning Family Support on doesn't give anyone access. It only lets your chosen family member send you a request that you can approve or decline.
