You can send a family member a link to install Shield on their device in a couple of clicks, right from your dashboard.
Before you start
- You'll need to be signed in to your Shield dashboard on a Family Lite or Family plan.
- Know which device you're setting up, like your mom's laptop or your dad's PC, and which platform it uses.
Steps
- Go to Devices in your dashboard.
- Click Add device.
- Give the device a friendly name, like "Mom's Laptop," so it's easy to recognize later.
- Click Send by email and enter your family member's email address, or click Copy install link to share it yourself.
What to expect
Your family member gets an email with a simple download link and a few short steps to follow. The link is set up just for their device, so once they install Shield, it activates automatically with no sign-in needed. Their device shows up in your dashboard under the name you gave it, and you can see its protection status right away.
If this didn't fix it
If your family member says they haven't received the email, ask them to check their spam or promotions folder. You can also click Copy install link and send it to them directly through text or chat instead.
